Local governments in Taiwan provide a variety of accessible transportation services for people with disabilities and the elderly, including rehabilitation buses, accessible taxis, and long-term care transportation services, aiming to meet diverse needs. However, with the national population of people with disabilities exceeding 1.2 million, approximately 1 in every 23 people, many individuals still have limited understanding of rehabilitation buses, welfare vehicles, and long-term care transportation concepts.
To address this, we are launching the “Welfare Classroom” section, which will provide in-depth information about welfare vehicles, including key points on vehicle modifications, tax exemption policies, purchasing guidelines, and tax benefits for donated vehicles. We hope to assist the public in gaining a more comprehensive understanding of the importance and application value of welfare vehicles.
